Oak wood Premier Residence and Apartments

This time travelling to Pune, (my weekend choice yet again), I preferred to try out the Oakwood Premier in Koregaon Park. I was promised ‘luxurious indulgences in the comfort of a home. And funnily enough I discovered just that, since Oakwood Worldwide is the leading provider of corporate housing and serviced apartment solutions across the world.

I must say that what I was offered was nothing less than the experience of a delicious deluxe five star stay. I can well understand now why so many corporates choose to experience their hospitality. Firstly it is tucked away in the hooded area of Koregaon Park and quite far from the monotonous hustle bustle of the city, but close enough to the WTC, the EON Centre, Panchshil Tech Park, Magarpatta and Hadaspar.

My one bedroom apartment came lavishly furnished, with a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, and the works. The mattress was world class and all the amenities in the bed and bath area were comparable to the comfort of home and more. LCD’s with a home theatre system walk in wardrobes; clothes washer and dryer, and daily house keeping completed the picture. A working console with comprehensive facilities and high-speed Wi- Fi facilities made it impossible for me not to tackle my work responsibilities.

But all work and no play does not a person make. Oakwood offers a fully equipped Fitness Centre along with personal trainers for enthusiasts and tennis and squash courts for the athletic ones. Not only that, there’s a 24 hour Game Room for Pool, Board and Video games. The Outdoors swimming Pool and the Kid’s play area are well situated for usage. But why miss the mind and soul pampering when the Wellness Centre offers its own plethora of therapies.

And what if I wanted to entertain myself and my guests beyond my one bedroom apartment? Well! Oakwood offers a 24/7 restaurant called the Sen5es that offers global delicacies. The Bistro takes care of the pizzas and desserts urge complimented with various wined. The Deli is just around the corner. And for gentlemen with a yen for the Bar, the Oak Lounge, serves well as a destination after work to unwind, listening to jazz, retro and International music.

And how safe was it living in an apartment hotel? All measures are taken in consideration, right from fingerprinting at registration/reception, to extensive security with CCTV systems, all in place.

Other activities to make one’s stay in Pune magical are golf, trekking, sight seeing, art gallery hopping and even dining in at the many restaurants sprinkled across the City.  Don’t forget to get on the Shopping Shuttle on Sunday if it’s on your wish list. Yes! Oakwood arranges everything..
