It is an eco friendly resort that has been constructed with minimal destruction to nature. Every drop of water is accounted for and is recycled for nurturing the landscape. No food is wasted here as sewage treatment plants are installed.
About
This is one of the resort’s main dining areas that overlooks a serene water body and bustling nature all around. Exquisite views that encourage birds and fauna form the background for a place of calm.
It is definitely a fine dining experience with an added bonus for nature lovers. They have also have a corner library and gift shop called The Almari – for those who like to explore and read up a little.
Part of the property is dedicated to organic farming, so the whole structure is farm to table.
Review
The Fig prides itself on being a multicuisine restaurant. With an underlying Mediterranean theme that is accompanied by produce sourced right from their own grounds, you are in for a culinary experience like no other. It has everything – a beautiful setting, a spectacular view, organically grown ingredients and a refined menu. My stay at Ibnii Coorg was undoubtedly elevated with my dining experience in this exquisite restaurant.
A meal is always started with hitting the table that stocks the organic vegetables and sauces, all fresh produce. It was natural to get the sprouts mixed with a citrus dressing of choice and settle for the mixed platter of proteins featuring Tandoori Prawns and Chicken Tikka.
Delicious Lasooni Mushroom – a little bit of vegetarian to temper the non veg. And so the Grilled Fish with a Lemon Butter Sauce.
Feeding the sweet tooth with a crunchy Choco Delight.
