About
Translating to ‘banana leaf’ in Kodava language, Baalelle is a pure vegetarian restaurant that has its own dedicated kitchen.
The interiors of this establishment contains decor that signifies their farm to table approach. Incense at the entrance and grinding stones effectively set the tone for the kind of cuisine they intend for you to experience.
Review
Their mini mix vegetarian Thali is a true delight. Seasonal veggies plucked from their own greenhouse garden along with home grown spices leads to this delicious dish that successfully combines North and South Indian cuisine. With delicacies like Kuru Curry, Pumpkin Erissery, Mix Veg Palya, Dal Makhni, Palak Paneer, Sambar, Aloo Methi, Kerala Paratha and Missi Roti, I was definitely spoilt for choice.
Baalelle is a wonderful choice for the environmentally conscious vegetarians. Regional fare that highlights the cuisine along with shining a light on organic farming is always a plus in my book. The combination of cuisines to provide a sumptuous meal is what sets it apart from its competitors.
