I have always been the one to step into the unknown. New has a special meaning for me. So when I was invited to check out the newly launched Hyatt Regency at the Health Care City (Dubai Creek Heights), I welcomed the idea. I noticed that the Dubai International airport (10 mins away), the metro station, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and Wafi City, Dubai Mall and cultural heritage districts are all close by. Even the complimentary shuttle services to the beach are provided daily. Nothing left unturned by this group.
Driving towards the hotel I sighted the lovely structure-two iconic high-rise towers (164m) that housed an atrium (lobby) between them. Resplendent views of the City’s stunning skyline and the resurgent Dubai Creek formed the first look. I was astonished at the Armani like feel to the property, clean lines, energising interiors, business and leisure like amenities. A spacious lobby, provided the Hyatt feel (1000 sq m) with all the plant walls, flowers and greenery. The Swarovski crystals glittered in the water bodies, giving the whole place a different kind of opulence.
I was shown to my lovely executive suite on the 19th floor, and realised that the hotel had 464 generously sized guest rooms, 76 luxurious suites and two signature Royal suites on the top two floors of the Hotel. My king-size Hyatt Grand Bed made me imagine the nights rest to come. I set up my work table (complimentary Wifi) right next to the 52 ‘’satellite television and checked my minibar. All in order I wandered into the bathroom, to see my essentials-hairdryer, and full bath amenities. Smiling like a Cheshire cat, I ordered in room dining.
The Regency Club Lounge (32nd floor) is Hyatt’s ‘hotel within a hotel’ concept. Complimentary to all suites is the breakfast and cocktails of course. The hotel offers three separate men’s, women’s and mixed-use fitness centres with advanced cardio and strength training equipment. A must in all business hotels I figure. Hyatt’s true urban spa- ‘the Nysa Spa’ (5300 sq ) offered exclusive hydro therapy (Water Temple). A selection of massages and body treatments were all on the menu.
Not totally a business hotel, the Hyatt Regency is a kid friendly family Hotel as well offering entertainment activities for children at the Kid’s Club. The Pool area has a pool bar and allows an immense sense of unwinds for the guests. Conferences and Weddings are welcomed at this definitive destination. Small or large scale the Hotel is equipped to handle anything with 13 meeting suites, and state of the art technology. There is also a resident style multi event conclave (Al Manzil) for luxurious high-end private events.
Business done, people entertained, I was happy to note that one more Hyatt had joined the Dubai Skyline and opened to happy campers from all over the world.
