Today his son, Sachin Joshi, the managing director of JMJ and an actor, is the Vice Chairman of India’s first Hollywood themed beach resort in Goa, a franchise of Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.

As a part of my birthday celebration, I was hosted at the Presidential Villa for a private five course dinner. This was a special bungalow overlooking the beach, with a huge private garden and extravagant amenities. It was the perfect setting for a luxurious dinner.

Review

The dinner was brilliantly set with plated wonders executed to perfection. An innovative menu translated to an excellent meal. It was indeed a true pleasure and a wonderful birthday treat.

Matar pudhina shorba (green peas and popcorn cream soup).

Bocconcini and tomato salad with tamarind gel.

Khasta Murgh – a chicken tikka masala pie with onion jam.

Lobster Xec Xec – butter poached lobster, prawn kedgeree with beetroot ketchup.
